Overview and Outcomes:
“Our working styles affect everything we do: the way we organise our work, manage our time, how we function alongside others, our contribution to the team, our style of communication, even our sentence patterns.” (Hay 2009a)
So this learning programme seeks to give people awareness of their working styles and understand the working styles of others in their teams. This then helps them build on their strengths and minimise any problems. It also helps them get the best out of others they are working with.
The workshop includes pre-workshop questionnaires to identify working styles. The delegates are then given individual challenging objectives within the simulation exercise to help them gain awareness and understanding of how their working style affects their interactions and effectiveness. This can also be used for exploring leadership styles.
