Planning and Strategy Events
pixelfountain uses innovative learning and facilitation to get key stakeholders engaged
in the development of a strategy / plan.
Example: Town-Centre Master Planning / Neighbourhood
Management
Phase 1 (Developing the People and Framing the Issues):
- Extended Ice Breaker using Planit-Sustainability to bring a group together.
- Develop an assessment criteria.
Phase 2 (Ideas and Making them Happen):
- Walk around the area in question.
- SWOT analysis for whole area to bring out key themes.
- Spatial analysis using maps to allow sub groups to identify opportunities for the
area by placing indicators on the map. Swap members of the sub groups to elicit a critique.
- Finalise ideas and sell them to the whole group.
- List the best ideas and perform a timeline analysis to identify key milestones, resources
and risks.
Example: Local Area Agreement Implementation
- Following an introduction a Presentation describes what an LAA is and how we will
simulate it.
- The delegates work in 4 groups to choose their LAA outcomes. The outcomes are then
entered into the simulation to generate a dynamic score screen, on which they are
judged.
- Delegates are split into 8 teams which represent the partnership who will deliver
the LAA. The Simulation is then played over 4 rounds.
- The delegates then consider what LAA means to them, by looking at Key Actions, Barriers
and Solutions.
