Building on the success of Planit-Merseyside, which was short-listed in the Bringing
People Together category of the Creating the Future Awards 2008 pixelfountain has
been asked to deliver Planit-Partnerships 2011 using our Learning Simulations alongside
our strategy and planning tools. In partnership with Sefton borough Council the project
is a transformational learning programme that places people at the heart of change
and spans a crucial time for Local Government including Local Area Agreement 2 (LAA)
through Comprehensive Area Assessment (CAA) and beyond.
The Planit-Partnership 2011 project is funded by the North West Improvement and Efficiency
Partnership (NWIEP) and will run until June 2009. Pixelfountain will deliver a series
of workshops to local authorities and their partners in the sub regions of Cumbria,
Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside City Region. The main objectives
of this project are to demonstrate the effectiveness of this type of training in
encouraging partnerships development, collaboration and improve understanding of
shared targets & objectives.
Planit - Partnerships will also support LAAs and LSPs, Partnership working between
Local Authoirities and other public sector organisations, and building capacity of
staff and Members and developing leadership skills. As part of the project pixelfountain
will develop the regional Gateway site “Partnership Development” providing an essential
catalogue of learning / training and other activities to promote transformational
change, knowledge management and partnership development while supporting and collaborating
with the other established Gateway “family”.
It put Local Government Finance in to a real time perspective Elected
Members need continual and up-to-date training. I cannot see any challenges
in implementing this learning, because it was such a high standard.
