February 2010: Mediabox
Along with St.Helens Council, we have just won a mediabox application. The funding
will go towards the development of an on-line game. Young people will be involved
in the development of the game, and they will also be the target audience. The game
will also make use of 2D bar codes (those matrix patterns you see on cola cans) and
mobile phones. And will encourage young people to get involved in their local community.
January 2010: NEW SIM - Planit-Shared
With assistance from West Midlands Improvement and Efficiency Partnership, we have
just completed the Planit-Shared learning-simulation. Planit-Shared simulates two
local councils, they have different demographics but share the same need to deal
with their medium term gaps. Planit-Shared will be used in training programmes to
help council members and officers look at improvement, efficiency and shared-services.
November 2009: HCA accreditation of Regen-IT
We are pleased to announce that our Regen-IT learning-simulation has just been accredited
by the Homes & Communities Academy.
June 2009: Planit-partnerships Complete
Building on the success of Planit-Merseyside, which was short-listed in the Bringing
People Together category of the Creating the Future Awards 2008 pixelfountain has
been asked to deliver Planit-Partnerships using our learning-simulations alongside
our strategy and planning tools to councils in the North West. Read more...
March 2009: Learn 2 Deliver Programme Commences
West Midlands Improvement and Efficiency Partnership has commissioned pixelfountain
to deliver a series of Local Area Agreement workshops. The workshops will train Members

November 2008: Team building event for Uniliever
pixelfountain were asked by Uniliever to help deliver part of their One World in
Laundry team-building event. We used Planit-SD in the event to two groups of 100
people Comfortville and Surfcity who were competing against each other to get the

August 2008: Regen-IT Update
Regen-IT has been updated in partnership with Sheffield Hallam University. The updates
have made the simulation more focused on affordable housing and neighbourhood management.
The product is being used with Registered Social Landlords to train staff and board

July 2008: NEW SIM - Children and Young People simulation
Planit-YP developed with assistance from Government Office Northwest addresses the
Every Child Matters agenda and deals with the complex issues surrounding young people.
The simulation is designed to improve partnership working, skills and knowledge and
allow delegates to ‘see’ how the decisions they make affect the health and well-being

We successfully delivered learning-simulations as part of Planit-Merseyside. The
project was a finalist in the Bringing People together category of the Academy of

June 2008: pixelfountain delivers planit-LAA for Tameside 20/20 event
Tameside 20/20 event is a quarterly ‘vision and direction of travel’ day, involving
a selection of 400 Tameside staff. We delivered four Planit-LAA workshops alongside
