Planit-sustainability
allows delegates to ‘see’ how the decisions
they make affect social progress, the environment and
the
economy. The interconnectedness of the problem is explained
in the learning-simulation in a way not possible with
traditional learning approaches.
It was developed
with assistance from Government Office (NW & YH)
Yorkshire Forward, NWRA,
and ESF.

alongside a range of non-computer activities. Six teams
each take responsibility for an aspect of a virtual community.
Each team has its own objectives. They must stay
within budget, make improvements and consider
other teams.
Regen-IT was developed with assistance
from Sefton MBC, NRF and Sefton Borough Partnership |

Developed with assistance from Defra,
PlanitWASTE models a county with 3 districts, all
with different socio-economic, environmental and waste
profiles. Waste management is poor and landfill
is
rapidly
disappearing.
The
team are judged on a set of targets based on sustainability,
recycling targets, landfill allowances, waste arisings
and viability.

Govern-IT models
a local authority and is embedded with governance issues.
All aspects of governance are explained using a range
of non-computer activities as well as the learning-simulation
itself.
Govern-IT has been developed in partnership with Cheshire
County Council. It is the company’s 9th learning-simulation and
is the most ambitious to date.
